After a quick two month dev cycle, Tiny Mountains has finally released Meow Meow Space Force for mobile on both the App Store and Play store! Check it out and let us know what you think!
Meow Meow Space Force is chugging along. I have the basic elements for all the art in save for one last enemy, and now I'm polishing all of the mode assets. We have 4 game modes currently: Tutorial Mode, Normal Play Mode, Hardcore Mode, and Endless Mode.
The following are some of the assets for the normal mode level:
With the launch of Pitch Jumper on IOS at the end of July, and the start of a new semester I've moved on to a new mini mobile project called Meow Meow Space Force. It will be a mobile casual game (I0s and Android) launched late October. It is a match color game in the vein of Candy Crush or bejeweled, but with a space theme, done in 3D. Our graphics benchmark right now is the Ipad 1 but we are reevaluating whether we want to stick with that or move on to the Ipad 2.
The game is being developed by a small dev team called Tiny Mountains. We consist of one producer, one designer/programmer, another core programmer, and myself, a generalist artist(2D, 3D, UI, Concept work).
We are now in Week 5 of production. We have the first pass of enemy assets, background assets and UI assets in game, and we have a build currently ready on Testflight. I'm currently the sole artist working on this title, but I will be bringing on a part-time animator to asset with animations once the character assets are ready.
The following are the steps I've taken to get the look and feel of the game.
Enemy models needed to be differentiated by both style and color. We wanted to stick to a basic color theme (red, blue, green, yellow) but wanted the enemies to have a fun and varied look to them.
